(Stockton, CA) – The City of Stockton is currently accepting applications for one vacancy on the five (5) –member City Council Salary Setting Commission. This vacancy is due to the resignation of one member. The term for this volunteer position will commence upon appointment and run through December 31, 2012. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 6:00 p.m.
Interviews are conducted by the Stockton Civil Service Commission. Council Salary Setting Commission meets as-needed between March 1 and April 30 of every odd year and recommends to the City Council the amount of salary and benefits, which it deems appropriate for members of the City Council, including the Mayor, for two-year periods.

Applications must be received by Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. City offices are closed every other Friday; closed dates include July 31, August 13 and August 27.
