Are you having problems with your mortgage? The National Association of Real Estate Brokers–Investment Division, Inc. – Housing Counseling Agency (NID-HCA) is hosting a free Homeownership Preservation Community Workshop this coming Saturday, November 13, 2010.The event will be held between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ebenezer AME Church (132 N. Stanislaus) in downtown Stockton. It will offer one-on-one loss mitigation counseling, legal counseling and foreclosure prevention information.
Attendees in need of help should bring recent mortgage statement, the two most current pay stubs, most recent 2 years’ tax returns, two most recent bank statements, two utility bills and a list of monthly expenses.
Although free, registration is suggested calling (209) 952-8806 or (909) 887-8700. Spanish translators will be available.
NID-HCA offer counseling to consumers, as well as non-profits, public agencies and faith-based organizations in pre-purchase, budget/credit, pre-rental, homeowner default/foreclosure, home equity conversion, reverse mortgages, community development programs, housing rehabilitation, refinance, financial literacy, discrimination, predatory lending and fair housing.
The function of the agency is to provide housing related counseling to all persons/entities with housing needs, free of charge.
