Stockton, CA — the traditional Mexican songs, La Bruja, Ella, la Bamba, and other famous pieces filled the ambiance at Lozano’s Pacific Avenue Grill, as Michael Tejada performed lived on the evening of November 11th.
Michael Tejada is a former student of the Cesar Chavez Mariachi —the Chavez Mariachi is an after-school program at Stockton Unified School District’s (SUSD) Cesar Chavez High— and he is also an active member of Mariachi Rayos del Sol, Mariachi Cali and a soloist. Sara Cazares, newly elected SUSD Board Member admired Tejadas talent “I am impressed by his talent, he is a graduate of Chavez High; he validates arts and music in our schools,” shared Cazares.
For nearly an hour and a half, Tejada performed solo along with the soft sound of his Peruvian harp. “Its exiting to know that Lozano’s is offering quality live shows, its important for Stockton’s arts, culture, and music performers that local venues open their doors,” highlighted Tito Talamantes, Co-Director of Mariachi Cali.
This is among the first Latino Performances at Lozano’s pacific Avenue Grill.
