(Stockton, CA) – The City of Stockton is currently accepting applications for four (4) vacancies on the seven- (7) member Redevelopment Commission/Relocation Appeals Board. The vacancies are the result of the term expirations of members on March 31, 2011. The term of office is four (4) years and will commence upon appointment and run through March 31, 2015. All applicants must reside in the city of Stockton and may not hold any public office or position of employment with the City of Stockton. The deadline for applications is March 29, 2011, at 6:00 p.m.
The Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Redevelopment Agency, making recommendations about urban renewal and redevelopment project areas and necessary improvements within project areas; advises the Agency on physical plans for each project area, including the selection of purchasers and developers, and makes recommendations for the contract of services and site improvements.
Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 425 N. El Dorado Street. Remuneration is $25 per meeting, not to exceed $150 per month.
