Great news is that which has be made known at the Geneva Motor Show 2014. After 3 door hatchback convertible different versions of drive coupe SUV and Countryman the British brand (but German-owned BMW) still wants to grow with new market segments and increasingly competitive with other brands of premium cars.
This will be the task of the new Mini Clubman which was seen in Geneva as a concept car but already appears very close to production. It's a classic truck which compared to the current Clubman who never understood in the market grows up to 26 cm in length and about 17 cm wide offering habitability own five persons of a family car. To be precise the length is 4.22 meters width of 1.84 meters and height of 1.45 meters.
A true Station Wagon
With these measures the new Mini Clubman
will be between segment B and C segment finding very few direct competitors but will compete with other customers segments. The style however is that of all others typically British Mini although in this case the hexagonal grille and headlight shape are vaguely reminiscent of the front of the famous Aston Martin DB5 James Bond. Moreover the proportions are typical Mini with the long wheelbase the vertical glazing adequate and short overhangs.
Original and something "Snob"
Although the new Mini Clubman
is a more mature product than the last and even more precisely positioned in a market not a waiver of that originality almost a little "snob" typical of all Mini. If the first generation Clubman was surprised that little extra door and support but it was only on the right side the second generation while giving up this unique solution adopts special also. In fact the tailgate is not of one piece and does not open as wide traditional shopping season but has two hinged doors sideways.
In fact marketing people prefer to call it as a Mini Shooting Brake instead of a truck this is not to be too "bourgeois" and attract all those young Mini owners who have grown and need more space using the same as a traditional family car. Technically this Mini Clubman
is the second model to use the new modular front-drive platform developed by BMW Group. It is called UKL II and recently debuted on the Series 2 Active Tourer the first car " made in Monaco of Bavaria ". for the other reviews about the newest cars visit here.
