The Peugeot 208 GTI 30th was created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 205 GTI and has been the Peugeot Sport racing department responsible for the development and assembly. They were to produce 500 units but seen demand have decided to stretch to 1000. All of them are numbered and with its nameplate. When they last 1000 will continue to exist but already with another name without plate. In Peugeot me they did not want to reveal but all indications are that it can be signed with a "By Peugeot Sport" or a logical and beautiful 208 GTI A. I do not think that dare to call Rallye since that name implies greater radicalism lightness economy and reduced comfort; see what happens.

Apart from the aesthetic or equipment changes the 30th features the latest evolution of the 1.6 THP which reaches the established power of 208 CV electronically 8 more and 30.8 mkg. It incorporates a new exhaust to enhance performance and sound a catalyst sport and Stop / Start function. With all this meets the EuroVI so you can join the scheme PIVE interestingly since the normal GTI is Euro V and lacks any aid. This mechanical evolution GTI will go into next year needed to be sold in 2016. What they do not receive the GTI year and will stay in this or future R 30 is the Torsen limited slip and box inherited changes the RCZ R with identical internal developments and all modifications of the frame.

The adds firmer springs and dampers the lower triangle front for another with lower torque the front stabilizer becomes thinner and lighter but stiffer tire is changed adds further drop in both trains and Michelin Pilot Super Sport 205/40 on 18-inch rims. The front discs become 323 mm in diameter and 28 mm thick with new Brembo four-piston calipers in red and sportier pills. The ESP receives specific calibration to assimilate the work of the Torsen being far less intrusive in acceleration and fully detachable.

The 30th anniversary leaves the assembly line as a 208 GTI normal with the engine / date change and then passes a small department within the factory that takes 11 hours to change it if you want a normal color or 26 hours if you have elected to two-tone body (black matte-red) of which only 350 units will have. This department is responsible for assembling the new parts and set the set but add the customization elements such as skirts 30th emblems and other exterior trims ranging matte black chrome where they were before. In addition to the limited two-tone color available in white and red contrasting nicely with matte black accents.

Peugeot 208 GTI 30th Dentro maintains posture driving feature 208 depending on personal tastes some love and others like me horrified because I do not see the picture (better see for yourself at the dealership). The interior decoration becomes in black lacquer with seat or door trims in red. It has a pleasant and sport seats signed by Peugeot Sport upholstered in black Alcantara with red stitching.

Do not feel that the engine has more power but that developments are better adapted to what is expected of a sports car. Feels like the engine seems to run the same that it was much but the gearbox is faster and more accurately something that ultimately helps make it faster. The brakes are much more effective than the GTI with a nice bite and greater resistance to fatigue. It feels harder but not much more uncomfortable maintaining an air of sporting perfectly acceptable for everyday actually prints the dose of character that badly needs the bourgeois GTI.

Peugeot 208 GTI firmer in all conditions with a faster and easier back in place latched by the ESP 30thEs. In the limited slip acceleration makes it more effective more efficient than the GTI even with the ESP connected. If you want to go on the attack and disconnect you will find a utility with a capacity far superior to its rivals traction. The rear gets more nervous and reactive making it faster if demanding which is what is expected of a GTI. Feels like I think this car will be faster than the Clio RS which will cope with more comfort. He has won in hardness chassis traction and braking sounds nicer and is a limited edition; very interesting because this improves a car that was already good.

It goes on sale for 26780 euros 3800 euros more expensive than the conventional GTI and will stop equipment. If you apply the plan PIVE the difference between one and another 1000 euros provided the subsidy is reduced (the GTI has PIVE) as the 1258 euros that Peugeot discount will apply to both. Again I see it more interesting than the normal GTI despite the price difference no more of it more sporty it is but so much to offer and because even consume less especially in town. for the other reviews about the newest cars visit here.
