Now under the wing of British House owned by the Chilean group Gildemeister returns to our country the Range Rover Sport. It is marketed with a drive 3.0 V6 Supercharged with 340 hp a sequential automatic transmission eight relations and AWD.
WHAT IS IT ?: The second generation Range Rover Sport (L494) made globally in the Hall of New York 2013 (see note). Replaces the first sports variant of Range Rover (L320) launched in 2005 and had come to market in Uruguay with the previous importer. It is made on the ground that the mark has at its headquarters in Solihull England.
The Range Rover Sport measures 4850 mm long 2073 mm wide and 1780 mm high. The wheelbase is 2923 mm. The trunk offers 489 liters of capacity with seven seats in use which can be extended to 780 l with five seats and three rows folded 1760 l.

The drive chosen for our market is a 2995 cc V6 direct injection supercharged intercooled able to disburse 340 horsepower at 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 450 Nm available between 3500 and 5000 rpm. The transmission is automatic ZF 8HP70 eight sequential speeds with shift paddles behind the wheel.
The benefits are: 210 km / h top speed and acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 7.2 seconds. The combined consumption is 10.7 l / 100 km. It weighs 2140 kg Kerb and brakes are ventilated at the front and rear discs.
The permanent all-wheel drive is electronically center differential and Terrain Response system selection TM2 locking rear differential option. The steering is rack and pinion power assisted (EPAS).
The front suspension is SLA type with two straps and pneumatic control CVD (Continuously Variable Damping) and ARB Passive system while the rear is multilink also pneumatically adjustable CVD (Continuously Variable Damping) and ARB Passive system.
Strengths: The design. The comfort and safety equipment are complete. It offers performance worthy of a sports sedan with the ability to get on rough roads like any self-respecting Range Rover so. But ask Richard Hammond Top Gear (see video). The warranty is another plus.
Weaknesses: As expected if you are facing this type of driving consumption figures in town granted by Land Rover Supercharged V6 version 3.0 are somewhat higher: 14 liters per 100 km.
