McLaren has completed the production of P1 to reach the 375 units produced to which should be added the production of 13 experimental prototypes 5 validation prototypes and pre-production three all of them have traveled 620000 kilometers. Clearly we have a model that from now their price will not go to go higher so its limited production and by the fact that one of the most technologically advanced and fast cars we can find now for driving legally on public roads.
Remember that we are talking about a equipped with a twin-turbo V8 associated with two electric motors with a power of 916 hp doing the 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and achieves a top speed of 350 km hybrid supercar/h.
The production model began in summer 2013 and that unit was made number one in color 'Silver Ice' while in contrast the last unit produced the # 375 has the orange pearl. However neither it has been the most successful color in the model because it has the merit attributed Volcano Yellow color.
As you can tell the average time spent to produce each unit is high but partly due to the craftsmanship that counts each: specifically each unit requires 800 hours and 105 employees involved in production ie about 17 days per unit. In some cases the painting process has reached five days all with the goal of seeking maximum perfection in the finish.
Of course there will still be other variant thereof that will soon although with a more radical approach and much more limited production: it is the McLaren P1 GTR that only 35 units will be produced.
