During the last month we read at length about the BMW i5 which is the intermediate model between the i3 and i8 on price and that in one way or another will be the model with more sales to get by of the sub "i" BMW. The German brand has big plans for this model and it is not until now that really began to follow clear and reliable clues about what BMW is preparing.
While at first we thought the i5 would be a premium sedan of similar size and characteristics to the Tesla Model X or BMW 5 Series the roads seem to go in another direction. Latest information to date speak and confirm that the BMW i5 will be a SUV or midsize crossover and will be in the same segment as the Audi Q6 and the Tesla Model X. That is will the Bavarian alternative to the two SUVs main electrical urban land on the market in a few years. However unlike the German and American the BMW i5 will not opt for hybrid configuration hundred percent electric.
Unlike the i3 the BMW i5 will have a range of substantial autonomy and exceed 320 kilometers without using the internal combustion engine. Without closing the door to a hundred percent electric version both the rivalry with the Model X and Q6 will be the order of the day waiting for BMW concrete which path they take. Will they opt for an all-electric i5 or by a more restrained choice? Are you prepared the market for more electrical clarity of this category?
