The PSA Group (Peugeot-Citroën) and Toyota just presented its new business under the name of Citroën Spacetourer Peugeot Traveller and Toyota Proace. The PSA Group Peugeot Citroën have submitted the result of their collaboration agreement signed in the year 2012 with Toyota Motor Europe whereby they committed themselves to jointly develop a new model that is position in the segment of commercial vehicles of medium format.
The new models whose front is personalized with the style of each of the manufacturers to give you a unique style based on each of the brands will be sold under the names of Spacetourer under the brand Citroën Peugeot and Proace Traveller according to Toyota's.
The new range which will be in showrooms during the first quarter of 2016 will be composed of Combi-versions for private use as well as variants in to finish Shuttle for use in professional tasks and they will replace the current Jumpy Expert and Proace.
Progressively the range of models will be completed with terminations of van closed for freight as well as semiacristaladas body which combines freight with the transfer of passengers.
The existing agreement which will be extended beyond the year 2020 linked to three brands in the development of new models in the segment of those now presented commercial vehicles whose Assembly will take place in the factory of CGT the PSA group has in the française de Valenciennes town where until now produced models that are now replaced.
Toyota Motor has participated in the development costs and industrial investments of these new models shared technical and engines in addition to the equipment but each brand will customize that with different equipment.
